In this challenging and critical moment for the people of Earth, we wanted to take the chance to reflect on our community and address the current situation.
Starting as a young company, a small team determined to do something; we started The Canvas by Querencia. Over the last few years, the initiative, mission and strategy have changed but the core principle has not. The idea that fashion plays a critical role in shaping the world, and has a responsibility to do so in a way that makes things better rather than worse, is at the core of our business. Now as much as ever, the industry's contribution and creativity are needed to help mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on society.
With the necessary but temporary closures of The Canvas Williamsburg and Antwerp, we have spent these past few weeks working to bring The Canvas experience online. These circumstances will not stop our resilient community of brands from sharing their stories and work with the world.
With that, we are thrilled to announce The Canvas World Wide Web, our e-commerce platform allowing you to shop our brands by their missions and the Sustainable Development Goals their work is addressing. Until May 1, 15% of all proceeds from our e-commerce platform will go to the World Health Organization's COVID-19 relief fund.
These efforts will be supplemented with new digital content initiatives, interviews on The Palette and live streams with our team, partners and collaborators on our Instagrams, @thecanvasbyq and @thecanvasbyq.antwerp.
