This isn't your traditional backpack. Simple yet sophisticated; androgynous yet chic. This timeless and elegant backpack was designed to pay tribute to one of the greatest modern travellers of our time, a true Renaissance man, Bruce Chawtin. Entirely hand crafted in Indonesia, it is made of one piece of vegetable tanned full-grain calf hide. It comes with a folded top and closes with a hand-made buckle. The Chatwin Backpack , available in black and tawny brown, comes with ample storage room, and is decorated in the colourful hand woven Rang Rang from Nusa Penida, without compromising its sleek design and exterior.

Care
Before shipping our bags and accessories to their destination, we coat them with a gentle conditioner made of olive oil, shea butter, beeswax and essential oil. However, the bag will need some extra love from you, and it is important that you follow the guidelines below. For the first month of use, it is important to avoid taking the bag out in the rain. This should give the fibres sufficient time to become more flexible and therefore less likely to react to water. To clean the bag t the best if you purchase a cream from the various online leather care outlets. You should always use a neutral, rather than a particular colour (which will contain a dye) and test on an inconspicuous area of the bag.
