The founders Yurac and Mirva connect ancestral textile practices with the growing demand for garments that come from an ethical and sustainable production chain and great design. Respecting the traditions of weavers and training them into contemporary techniques, Qaytu promotes the economic growth of artisans by developing the ancestral textile techniques that they inherited from their families. Qaytu promotes a fair treatment between men and women through equal pay for their work. They believe that a fair salary equals a more financially stable family which affects emotional wellness, the education of their children. Along with a fair salary constant training is guaranteed to their artisans. Qaytu has unique products with incredible stories that change lives, not only of who makes them, but the wearer as well.
